ABCs of Brainwaves

In the 1970s, Maxwell Cade, a scientist, yogi and father of biofeedback in England invented the mind mirror and took it to yogis and swamis and healers to measure consciousness. What he found was that a common brainwave kept appearing, regardless of religion, technique, belief system or methodology he called this 'The Awakened Mind.' The Awakened Mind is the combination of the four categories in the right relationship and proportion. Anna Wise took this research back to the states and studied the brainwaves of many people, to find that bursts of peak experiences, the 'aha' or 'eureka' moments that we may have are the same as those states the yogis and enlightened individuals lived in. Welcome to Gamma Jam

Some like to call it Gamma Jamma. I think that will be the name of the second location we open Over the next two years, I will be using this blog to share with you, if you would humor me, the evolution of my disserataion on the intersection of EEG and Depth Psychology. There will be sprinklings of many other topics here. I hope you find them agreeable. I find myself in an odd place in time, in that I am educated in a humanistic field - Depth Psychology. Much of the work I have done from 2008 to today has been psychotherapeutic. I've worked with homeless individuals, with troubled kids, with kindergarteners and first graders (and puppets!) and, of course, the every day Joes and Janes. Read More
